Clean your Apple Airpods and Airpods Pro with CleanPods

You must take care when cleaning your devices as using the wrong tools or chemicals can cause damage. 

Firstly, please note the following:

• NEVER run your Apple Airpods or Airpods Pro under water
• Do not push anything into the mesh of your earphones as this can cause damage
• Make sure no liquids get into the openings of your Airpods or Airpods Pro
• If your Airpods or Airpods Pro have been exposed to possible water damage, do not use them until they are completely dry
• Don't use anything sharp or abrasive that could damage your Airpods or Airpods Pro
• Do not spray your Airpods or Airpods Pro directly with the cleaning spray. Instead spray a small amount on to the microfiber cloth, a separate cloth or tissue, or the cotton buds provided and wipe the earphones clean

Clean the Case of your Airpods

The case can be particularly difficult to clean and often has a lot of accumulative dirt from your bags or pockets. As this is the house of your Airpods it is important to keep it clean and disinfected to keep them in the best shape over time.

1. Use the air-blower to remove any loose dust and lint from the case. Be careful when clearing dust from the charging port. Don't push anything into the charging port (Except the charger of course!)

2. Use the microfiber cloth, another cloth or cotton bud with a small amount of cleaning spray from your CleanPods kit. Spray the cleaner onto the cloth or cotton bud, not directly onto the case. Wipe the case clean, be sure to get into the corners and edges of the case

3. Use a dry cotton bud to wipe away dirt from within the crevices of the case 

4. Use the small brush and Uspudger to dislodge any more stubborn dirt and dust. The spudger is particularly useful to get into the crevices of the charging case for both Airpods and AirPods Pro.

5. Re-wipe the case clean and then dry using the microfiber cloth

 

Clean the tips of your Apple Airpods Pro

Over time the silicone tips of your Airpods Pro can accumulate some light stains and dirt. As they are non-electrical these can be run under water once detached from the earphone itself.

1. Remove the tips from your Airpods Pro from the mechanical part of the earphone

2. Wipe with the microfiber cloth provided in the CleanPods kit

3. Run under water. Don't use soap or any abrasive or household cleaners. Water should be sufficient at this stage.

4. Shake off the excess water, or leave to dry and then finish drying the tips with the microfiber cloth provided in the CleanPods kit. Ensure they are completely dry before re-attaching them to each Airpod Pro
